Urban sprawl and growth

Abstract

This research work is mainly focused on the development relayed to urban sprawl and growth in Damaturu town. The methodology applied is by the use of three satellite imageries of 1086, q1008 and 2017 which were obtained and downloaded from Unites States geological survey (USGS) website and usd in order to to detect the changes. The main objective s of this research investigation is to highlight the two mpact of urban sprawl in the Yobe Statecapital and to understand the direction which is mostly affected by this development. At the end, some impact s were identified and discussed extensively while some of the impact of urban sprawl and growth may either be positive and negative. However, negative effects are usually more emphasized as this growth is usually uncoordinated and uncontrolled, thus making the negative effects supersede the positive ones.
