Abstract

Insecurity has negatively affecting the performance of many the Small and medium Scale enterprises in Nigeria particularly in the north-eastern part of the country. Hence, present study is design to analyze the level at which the insecurity has affected the Small and medium Scale enterprises performance indicators such as turnover, profitability, access to market and access to finance on the actual performance of SMEs. The study applied survey research instrument to collect primary data. Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) path modeling was employed in analyzing the data. Similarly, content and face validity. Reliability and structural modelling were also examined where the validity of the instruments employed were found to be valid and reliable. Similarly, the path coefficient results showed that turnover, profitability, access to market and access to finance are positively related to business performance of SMEs.
